Specialist in Lease Agreements

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand, and client transport.

The Administrative Unit is part of the Property Department of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. The unit consists of two sections focusing on management related to existing operations and a contract group responsible for the authority's overall portfolio regarding lease agreements. Currently, the unit has about thirty employees who collectively manage a complex assignment concerning all facilities of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a Specialist in Lease Agreements, you will work with the authority's lease agreements. This involves responsibility for the agreements from the preparatory stage up to negotiations during extensions or terminations. Before contract negotiations, you will prepare negotiation materials in dialogue with, among others, the responsible management and project leaders. You will also be responsible for reviewing and negotiating lease agreements and maintaining close communication with the Swedish National Financial Management Authority and the government for agreements that require it.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has an academic education in the property area or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
  • Has experience working with lease agreements
  • Has a very good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Training in negotiation
  • Training in lease law and contract law
  • Experience working with property law issues
  • Experience working in a government agency
